The two-day workshop online research workshop is designed for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students who can learn qualitative and quantitative methodological approached to study social sciences.
Pre-Requisite:
Anyone with interest and curiosity in learning research methodologies. An elementary understanding of statistics is encourage for the last session on Quantitative methods.

Dr. Aejaz Ahmad Wani
Is an independent researcher with research interests in Political Ethics, Comparative Political Theory, and Billionaire Politics. He was ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow at University of Kashmir. He has a PhD in Political Science from University of Kashmir, and BA (Hons.) and MA in Political Science from University of Delhi. His first authored book titled “Deparochializing Global Justice: Global Poverty, Cosmopolitanism and India’s Superrich” is forthcoming with Palgrave Macmillan (2024). His other works have appeared in Journal of Global Ethics, India Review, and Economic & Political Weekly. He is currently working on two book projects: an edited volume on “Ethics and Politics of Philanthropy in India” (2025) and an authored volume on “Vir Savarkar and Carl Schmidt: Interventions in Comparative Political Theory” (2025).
Dr. Aqsa Agha
Is She holds Ph.D in History and has also been actively involved in Community Engagement employing Participatory methods and approaches. Her broader research interest lies in historical processes and their impact on the social locations of class, caste, and gender. She has worked as a Researcher with organizations like HRDA-India, Centre for Equity Studies, Praxis Institute of Participatory Research, and TISS, Mumbai. She received the South Asia Public Health Fellowship (2021 – 2022) by the Institute of Public Health and the Union.
Dr. Nupur Nirola
Is Is an applied macroeconomist with research interests in growth models, institutional economics, and fiscal federalism framework. She has presented her research in various international and national institutions such as Illinois State University, USA; University of Cambridge; University of Seville, Spain; University of Ljubljana, IIM Bangalore; IIT Kharagpur; and National Institute of Public Finance and Policy; among others. Her work is published in international journals like Annals of Regional Science, Heliyon, Economic Change and Restructuring, and Regional Studies Association.
Dr. Shilpi Rajpal
Is a social historian of psychiatry and at present an ERC postdoctoral fellow at the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies at the University of Copenhagen. Her project ‘Decolonising the Mind: Birth of the Global Mental Health Movement in India, 1920-1980s’ traces the local, national and global histories of psychiatry in colonial and post-colonial India. Her previous work, Curing Madness? A Social and Cultural History of Insanity in North India, 1800-1950s, was published in December 2020 by Oxford University Press, New Delhi. The book focuses on both institutional and non-institutional histories of madness in colonial North India.
